Their love made feel peaceful and grounded. She needed someone to lean on, and she found that in Adam. They accepted each other truly and I think that that's true love. He was quite neglecting and way too much in his head for a father of 6 children to take care of. I respect her resilience and how she became a mother after the death of her own mother at a young age. I admire the quiet strength she had, her determination to understand Adam when he sometimes shut her off. He became himself more than he ever was.Persephone is sweet, patient and a beacon of light and hope. I love the way that his feelings for Persephone brought out the good in him. He was so lonely, so young and on top of it he was a Duke at the tender age of seven. Such a shame that he couldn't spend his childhood with his mother when he lost his father whom Adam dearly loves. His mother annoyed me because she kept saying to him "my poor boy" but he is a GROWN man, but in the end we did understand the reason of her constant disappearance. Adam suffered a bit in his childhood because of his scars, he was really lonely in his childhood but that eased a bit because of Harry. The way they got to know each other and started to feel at ease and enjoyed each other's company is so well written and expressed. A bit angsty but it was worth it in the end ❤️❤️ They way they fell in love with each other is so heartwarming. The dynamic between Persephone and Adam is so endearing. Loved the interaction between Harry and Adam. I love this book, it's sweet and beautiful.
